In a stunning location above the village of Westgate, this charming detached former byre, built in the 1800s, retains many original features and has magnificent views of the beautiful Wear Valley. The North Pennines National Landscape is noted for its diverse wildlife and breathtaking scenery. Hexham, Newcastle, Durham, Barnard Castle, High Force Waterfall and the Lake District are within easy reach. Weardale offers superb walking, fishing and cycling with museums at Ireshopeburn and Killhope. Sharing the owner’s 6-acre grounds at the top of a steep track, the holiday cottage sits in a picturesque location with animals on site.
